Two Days at Ayr

Rockley Point once again proved himself to be Mr Consistent by finishing 2nd at Ayr yesterday to an unexposed 3yo.  He has been an absolute star the last 6 weeks producing the form figures 22412, not bad considering he’s our only flat horse.  We could definitely do with another one like him in the yard. After a long day at Ayr yesterday we headed back there again this morning with gallopers. We don’t often get the chance to get the horses racecourse experience so it was worth the early start and we were packed up and on the road by 6 this morning. It was a great opportunity especially for Grace our 4yo  by Westerner who will have learned loads from the experience. We also took along two older horses for the change of scenery, a spot of work and to show Grace the ropes. I am very grateful to Ayr racecourse and their hardworking staff for allowing us use off their facilities today.Tomorrow we head to Hexham with Getaway Gerry in the bumper, he has strengthened up and matured a lot since his spring run. Given the forecast for  tonight and tomorrow we really have no idea what sort of ground it will be. Thomas Wilmott takes the ride.
