Hard Work Pays Off

Great to see all our hard work pay off with Knocklayde yesterday.  Although the formbook will present a U next to his run at Ayr on the 27th Feb 2017 for us it will be the day that his jumping finally took some shape  and now his owners The Jackson Partnership' can start to look forwards and hopefully have some fun with him.  He jumped with fluency and was booked for 4th place when  a lose horse stopped his momentum jumping the last and Sean took a dismount that most PE teachers would be proud to see in their gymnastic class.  Both horse and jockey are fine and although we are very proud of the improvement in our youngster yesterday be assured that his strict schooling regime will be in place for the next few months until we are 100% sure of his confidence.  Hayley has put in a huge amount of work over the last 2 weeks and she also thoroughly deserved the Best Turned Out that she won yesterday with him.We were lucky to be allowed on to Corebridge point-to-point track after racing on Sunday and we took Rory's Valentine to pop round the fences and Niamh our in-name Daylami for a gallop.  Rory's Valentine jumped great and hopefully learned lots and we look forwards to seeing her out over a fence.  Niamh handled the occasion fabulously and took the hustle and bustle, crowds and white railings all in her stride.  She galloped well showing a game attitude.  Cant wait to see these two out on the track in the spring!
