FROM AYR TO SEDGEFIELD
A couple of nice results for us over the last week. Knocklayde finished 2nd at Ayr on Saturday and is showing continued improvement, he looks like he will stay all day and there is lots of fun to be had with this horse now that his jumping is beginning to bear fruit. Lochalsh finished a game 3rd at Sedgefield yesterday behind two progressive horses, he keeps bumping into one but hopefully his luck will turn soon.We have been busy at home and have Moscow Menace and Rory's Valentine ready for when the ground dries up and also a Daylami filly that will be ready for a bumper debut in about 8 weeks. We also have 3 horses in doing rehabilitation for tendon injuries that will be out running in the back end. Tendon injuries are very frustrating but given the right after care and plenty time these horses should come back to happy and successful careers. This week the racing world looks to Cheltenham and it has been a great first couple of days viewing. A couple of horses with local interest have run and it was fantastic to see St Boswells owners Paul and Clare Rooney have a winner with Willoughby Court. We will be watching with interest to see how Better Getalong runs in the bumper tonight after he narrowly defeated Western Lass at Kelso 4 weeks ago. I doubt the drying ground will do him any favours though. Happy punting everyone!
