Gweedore Wins!
It was great to see Gweedore put his head in front yesterday at Musselburgh (pictured with Abby). He has been consistently placed and paid the price with the handicapper but got the job done in gutsy style on rain soaked ground. Fantastic to get a winner on the board for Lamont Racing who have some lovely youngsters in the yard and have been great supporters of ours of late.It is also the first winner we have notched since our sponsors A1 Framing joined the yard and now I will have a winning photo for them to frame!Very disappointed to see we have lost Hamilton tomorrow to waterlogging, we were heading with what we thought was three good chances and it’s very frustrating. The programme up in Scotland and the north of England has been very poor in August topped off by losing 2 Hamilton’s and an Ayr to rain it has been very difficult to place horses in races. We have Elladora entered up at Hamilton on Tuesday so we will be watching the forecast with interest, this filly has been pleasing at home but was fractious in the stalls and has taken a lot of work to prepare for her racecourse debut. She has had two days out at the racecourse in preparation, she had a stalls assessment at Hamilton under Phil Dennis and then this week she went down to Newcastle where she had a 6f gallop. Hopefully this all sands her in good stead.
