GWEEDORE WINS -AGAIN!
Brilliant day at Musselburgh yesterday where Gweedore put in a career best performance to win the 7f handicap. This lovely big horse owned by Lamont Racing showed speed, stamina and a super attitude yesterday and it is an absolute privilege to train him. Some of his owners (pictured) were in attendance and the hospitality for owners at Musselburgh has been second to none during these tough times. This week also seen Chain Of Beacons put in yet another game performance to finish 4th at Hexham, we headed down the A68 for good ground but a deluge of rain meant it was on the soft side and his stamina didn’t quite see him to the finish line. Hopefully he will get the right conditions soon as he deserves to get his head in front. We have been busy getting National Hunt horses ready and a few of the, started cantering away this morning where others will be ready to hit the racetrack the beginning of October. Excited to see them all back out on the track.Tomorrow we head to Newcastle with four. Heer Me runs in a novice auction race over a trip that will perhaps stretch her stamina. Then Elladora lines up in a hot fillies novice, she was very fractious in the stalls last week at Hamilton and it would please me to see her be more confident and relaxed. We also see Spartakos line up over slightly further in the nursery and Nellie French is declared to run in the 6f handicap. Busy day!
