December Already
Hard to believe we have already reached December, the slow start to the season means we are right into the middle of it in the blink of an eye. Proper National Hunt ground in the majority of the northern racetracks now though and it’s full steam ahead. Herecomesnelson pleased us at Ayr last week beaten only 6 lengths to finish 4th, but more importantly stringing two good runs together for the first time. He surely deserves to get his head in front soon. We were at Newcastle on Saturday with Getaway Gerry who improved for the transition to hurdling and ran a much better race.We got witness Buveur D’Air put up a seriously classy display to win The Fighting Fifth Hurdle ahead of Samcro, amazing to get the top class horses up to run in the north. Our next runner is not until Kelso on Sunday when we have Newstart entered in the 2 mile hurdle. We took our 4 yo Westerner ‘Western Supernova’ off the yard today for a gallop and she enjoyed her day away, great experience for her travelling in the lorry and working in a strange environment ahead of her first run. She ideally could have done with another racecourse gallop but unfortunately they just aren’t available to us.So with no runners until Sunday there are lots of yard jobs and clipping planned for this week! The picture is of Allabouthepace, Robben Rainbow and Naples Bay on their holidays.
