2020, Onwards And Upwards

A yard of young horses means we haven’t had a huge amount of racing in this desperate ground but I am pleased with our last couple of runners. That’s Your Lottie looked very professional in a competitive bumper at Ayr where she stayed on for 5th in attritional ground to give The Jackson Partnership something to look forwards to. She has since started a little bit of schooling and looks every inch a chaser in time.Yesterday we were at Newcastle where Kodiac Lass finished a fast finishing and close 5th. We dropped her out as trying to learn her to settle and relax in her races and she looks sure to win some races when she does. We also had a lovely morning at the yard where Kodiac Lass’s owners came in to see her and stayed for some breakfast (pictured). It was great to meet the majority of Thistle Racing in a more relaxed environment. We love working with the youngsters at home and still have three working away towards making their racecourse debuts. A 5yo filly by Fame And Glory, a 3 yo filly by Dragon Pulse and a 2yo filly by Equiano. All are learning their jobs and working away well at home.We have two entries at Kelso on Sunday in the shape of Elite Icon who makes his hurdling bow and Flaming Glory who took a step forward for third last time and hopefully will run well again.
