Two Winners And A Celebration

We have sent out two winners in the last fortnight and both were very special.

First up was Curious Rover who cruised home to win the Twenty Thousand Nursery at Haydock last Friday. The rain softened ground was an unknown for him but he took to it well and galloped to victory under William Pyle who took off a handy 5lb. He has been a great buy for URSA Major racing and looks like he could progress again, his intended plans are another nursery at York next Friday. We are excited to see him out again.

Sacred Falls was a special winner for the team on Tuesday at Ayr for a few reasons. She really deserved the win after finishing 2nd in her previous 4 starts and I was thrilled for her owners Scott and Alison who are a massive asset to the yard. Jason changed up the tactics slightly and she won fairly well looking progressive going forwards.

Of our other runners this week I was thrilled with Jungle Jean who stuck to the task at Catterick to finish a close 5th despite struggling with the undulating track. Spartakos ran another solid race at Ayr and Flash Bulb took a small step in the right direction after her recent wind operation.

My least favourite job is clipping and after putting it off as long as I could I made a start this morning with Gweedore being the first visitor to the salon. He holds a declaration to run at Redcar on Saturday and will be our first runner in a listed race.

We had a party on Sunday to celebrate the good times we have had over the summer. Lots of owners, supporters and team members made it along to help us celebrate. Plenty of refreshments were served and some good music to enjoy a great night with great company!

A big thanks to everyone who came along.
