No Runners

A rare week of no runners after an exciting few weeks.

The highlight of the last few weeks was definitely watching Gweedore winning in fine style at Newmarket. This was our first runner and winner down at racing HQ, a big day for both the yard and his young jockey William Pyle who has been getting a great tune out of him. He has been an amazing buy for Lamont Racing giving them many days out at the big tracks on Saturdays. This was his twelfth career win and he now has a lofty rating of 100.

On the same day Thaki scored North of the Border at Ayr for URSA Major Racing. Phil Dennis gave him an absolute peach and he won with ears pricked. It was a great day for his owners who celebrated in style.

Another highlight over the past few weeks has been the lovely two year old Curious Rover finishing a close 3rd and 2nd at Musselburgh and Ayr. He has loads of promise and is exciting for the yard going forwards. We will be syndicating him out - details to follow!!!

Two other young horses that have shown some promise over the last week are Sacred falls and Bowood. They ran at Ayr and Doncaster Respectively and look to have nice futures ahead of them for their owners Star Racing.

Although we are not out on the racetrack this week, we will, as always be busy at home. We have started back our two all weather warriors Nellie French and Rockley Point in to work and we also have a couple of unraced National Hunt prospects on the go. Unraced 2yo Spyrothedragon is nearing his debut run which is also very exciting!

This week I am having a busman’s holiday with a trip to York to enjoy the racing on Friday and Saturday at The Ebor Meeting, I can not wait!
