Happy New Year

It was amazing to kick off 2024 with a much needed winner after far too many seconds over the past few months.

Noble Captain really deserved to get his head in front after a few near misses since he joined the yard last February. The best part was that 15 of his loyal owners from Making Headway Racing made it along to Newcastle to cheer him over the line, it made for a great atmosphere and a special night. William Pyle who rides a fair bit for us was in the saddle and took off a handy 5 lb in what was a very tight race at the business end.

We had our first ever runner at Kempton last week and it saw Bowood run another very consistent race for 2nd. He really deserves a win, he looks very genuine just a few pound too high in the handicap to get his name on the scoresheet. Overall it was great experience and we were very well looked after by the track.

A lot of our turf horses are coming back to work now and preparing for the summer starting so it is a very exciting time of year. We have an amazing team of horses, owners and staff to go to war with over the summer and we can’t wait to get cracking.
