One For The Future

The yard is a little quieter at the minute with the majority of the horse enjoying summer holidays.  We have 4 in full work, 2 on respite work and 2 youngsters that are riding away.  This is giving us time to get the stables pressure washed out and disinfected- a proper ‘spring clean’.  It’s a heavy job lifting out all the rubber matting from the stables to get the job done right. We missed out on a day at Musselburgh on Saturday as Rockley Point was balloted out of the 7 furlong but it was maybe a blessing as he was burdened with a heavy top weight to carry.  Our next runners will be at Hexham on Saturday. We have brilliant news to share that winning mare Jewellery is in foal to Black Sam Bellamy, due to foal April 2019 all being well.  Definitely a long term project but very exciting. She is part of the family so it’s great to think we will have her progeny running for the yard in the future.
