One For Scotland

Absolutely amazing to see One For Arthur win on Saturday.  Great for northern racing and especially Lucinda's hard working team up at Kinross! I made it down to Aintree on Thursday to watch the days racing and the sales that followed the last.  Such a great atmosphere and the course looked fantastic, even better I had a driver so could enjoy a few glasses of prosecco. We had to give Newcastle a miss on Saturday owing to the ground being on the quick side for the two that we had entered.  Jewellery ran a nice race at Tranwell Sunday past in the Novice Riders contest under Thomas Willmott, she led them into the home straight but perhaps didn't quite stay out the trip with the uphill finish and the large weight.  We are looking to give her a few runs between the flags over the next 6 weeks to try and get her enjoying her racing again and see if we can spark some enthusiasm in her.  She has also done a fair bit of hunting and a cross country!Yesterday Moscow Menace put his best foot forward to run a great race and finish third at Kelso despite being badly hampered 3 out.  Hopefully a sign of better things to come for this talented horse that has been hindered with niggles over the last couple of seasons.
