Cheltenham Week

Great week of racing to enjoy from Cheltenham especially cheering home the local Ryan Mania who done the steering on Vintage Clouds to win Tuesday's Ultima.  A big mention also to the Harriet Graham trained Aye Right who put in a great weight carrying performance to finish a great third, brilliant for the north.  We have a small tipping competition in the yard and its been quite competitive, currently its too close to call the winner! We have been very lucky to enjoy a couple of days away with our youngsters and a massive thanks must go to the teams at both Kelso and Newcastle for allowing us these opportunities.  This gives the horses a chance to see white railings, different stables, the parade ring etc and really is invaluable. We took two unraced NH youngsters (Hardies Hill and Mary's Glance) to Kelso along Crystal Lad and they enjoyed their day out, it was also a chance for Stephen Mulqueen to have a sit on them both as well.  We took Gweedore down to Newcastle yesterday with unraced two year old Briar Bank who took it all in his stride with Phillip Dennis giving him an education.Nellie French ran another cracker at Wolverhampton on Monday, she finished a closing third after meeting some trouble in running and remains in good form.  We have Crystal Lad and Monchique's Lass declared to run at Newcastle on Saturday.Picture is of Mary's Glance (Stephen) and Crystal Lad (Gary) at Kelso, photo by Alan Raeburn
