A Winner and a Holiday
I am just back to the land of reality after a holiday in the States. After 2 years without any days off my fuel tank was running on empty and I am now feeling recharged and ready to go. It is hard in this job to take time off but having such a super team on the yard and great owners makes it that bit easier. These days technology means I can easily be in touch with the yard daily and still carry out entries and declarations from any country, although the time difference meant I was up at 2 am a couple of times to do that.It was great for Robben Rainbow (pictured) to pick up a win at Musselburgh when he dead heated with Keith Dalgleish’s Mi Capricho. Our first ever dead heat! Robben is owner Edward Cassie’s first dabble in to flat ownership and a very much deserved winner in his yellow and black silks. He is entered up for Ayr on Tuesday night. We have only had one other runner in the last fortnight and that was Naples Bay who disappointed but scoped dirty after the race so has a viable excuse for a poor run. He’s had a quiet week and is to be re-scoped tomorrow. Fingers crossed he is back to normal. The National Hunt team are enjoying their holidays at grass with lots of rest and relaxation!
