2018!
Good start to the New Year for us with Rory's Valentine finishing 3rd in very testing conditions at Catterick today. She was very weak last season and is proving to take a lot of patience and TLC but is now starting to take shape and look like she will find her way in the racing game.It has been a very quiet and frustrating 6 weeks for us with no runners. Some of the horses were a little under the weather end of November and start of December which put the brakes on us having them out. It was very difficult as initially they were displaying no symptoms and it was only after a poor performance that it came to light. Fortunately we have a yard of patient owners and the horses that weren't quite 100% have had plenty of time to recover and get back to rights. Then we have been hindered with weather and racing abandonments over the last couple of weeks. It was especially sad for us to lose Kelso on Friday as there was a great race for Chain Of Beacons to line up in.We had The Dawn Bandit entered up for Ayr tomorrow but we have decided to bypass that with her in hope of some slightly nicer ground elsewhere for her hurdling debut. Although it does look like Ayr may struggle to race if they get the forecast overnight rain.It looks like our next runners will be at Musselburgh on Wednesday and Newcastle on Thursday!Happy New Year everyone, here's to a happy, healthy and successful 2018.
