Turf Season

It is great to be kicking on in to the heart of turf season and we will have plenty entries for next weekend.

Our busy week ahead kicks off at Hexham tomorrow where we have Castlegrange in the 3 mile chase and Cooldine Bog in the Hunterchase. Castlegrange took a step forwards last time and he needs to again. Cooldine Big will be giving Jack his first ride in public and although he may be outclassed he is a super schoolmaster for a novice jockey and could easily give a nice run. We also have My Macho man declared in the 2 mile chase but it looks like the ground will likely be too testing for him.

That means Macho will likely take up his entry at Perth on Thursday and we look to head back there on Friday with Enemy Coast Ahead and Ginger Pointe.

Gweedore will have entry at Haydock on Saturday, and we also hope to send a few to Wetherby Sunday and potentially an entry will be made for Elladora at Musselburgh. Busy weekend for the team!

Slainte Mhath pre race at Thirsk

We have just finished up a quieter week on the runners front and the highlight was definitely a close second for Slainte Mhath at Thirsk on Saturday. She was raised 8 lb for her win at Redcar so to see her go out and be competitive off her revised mark was very satisfying for everyone in the yard and all her amazing owners.

Everyone will be glad to hear that Jewellery and baby Zara are doing well. We had vets Sarah and Hannah Olivia in to put in Zara’s microchip and organise her passport for us. She is loving her time in the paddock with her mum and growing every day and as you can see she needs plenty of sleep to!

A Sleepy Zara

We always try to celebrate the good days so last Sunday we had the team and a few of our nearest and dearest out for food and drinks. It was a great night and hopefully we will have more days over the summer to give us reasons to celebrate.
