Stoney Rover and a Rainy Weekend

Goffs Sales at Doncaster proved a successful trip for Fiona, Kenny and Davey Telfer as we returned home with the placed Irish Pointer ‘Stoney Rover’.  He is a big strapping lad that has settled in to the yard well.  We weren’t too confident of buying something with it being a somewhat smaller catalogue than usual but we were really pleased to secure our first choice.  The Telfer’s previously had Kalastar who has now moved south to start a career a successful a point-to-point schoolmaster.  Kalastar was purchased 5 years ago when Prince George was born and he was given the stable name George so of course Stoney Rover has been affectionately christened Louis. We are absolutely thrilled to have had a fair bit of much needed rain this weekend it has made a real difference to the ground and the grass is having another shoot away aswell. We have been really busy on the yard with most of the horses now back cantering and also getting our 3yo Lottie ready to back.Busy times ahead!!
