Stoney Rover

Stoney Rover put his fall at Kelso behind him to run a lovely race at Newcastle yesterday and finish second much to the delight of his owners and everyone in the yard at home. He had a bit of a fright when he fell so after some intense schooling it was great to see his jumping grow in confidence yesterday as the race progressed. Hopefully he will record another win soon! Other than yesterday it’s been a month to forget with our runners as the heavy ground has stretched the stamina of our young team, hopefully yesterday was a big step in the right direction and the results will improve.

We have been very busy in the yard at home and are currently riding out 17 with another 8 holidaymakers to look after so it’s all hands on deck at the moment. Hayley has recently backed our Equiano yearling and it’s very satisfying seeing her progress every day. Still two shares available in this little star!

Our next entries are this week at Leicester, Newcastle, Sedgefield and Kelso
