A lot of people on social media are partaking in dry January in an effort to combat post Christmas blues and get themselves back into shape, unfortunately the weather has also continued in the same vein and we are still looking for proper winter ground to get the National Hunt season properly underway. It’s desperate to see such small fields when you open the race cards and turn on the racing channels.
It was a very sad day for us when we lost Herecomesnelson at Newcastle at the start of the month. Although not a world beater, Nelson was a long-standing part of our team and a massive character in the yard. The saddest part is that Nelson was finally beginning to find some consistent form and it looked like a win was on the horizon for him in the near future. He is very much missed.
Looking to the future we are taking our unnamed 4yo to Ayr on Sunday for a racecourse gallop and can’t wait to see how she goes. It’s a great opportunity for her to gain experience in a racecourse atmosphere and we will learn a lot about her by doing it.
We have brought our 4 flat horses back into work ahead of the 2019 campaign and they are all looking and feeling well, exciting times ahead!!! We have numerous shares available in winning flat handicappers if anyone is interested.
