Very frustrating but inevitable news this morning that racing will be abandoned for the near future. It is going to be a tough time for a lot of people across the country especially small businesses. Our owners have been amazingly supportive throughout today and it’s great to know we have their backing in such a tricky situation.

Life on the yard will continue much the same for us. We have made the decision to rough of a percentage of our more established NH horses but our youngsters that are learning the ropes and our Flat horses will remain in work. We have 4 unraced bumper prospects and 5 unraced flat prospects that will keep us busy over the next few weeks.

Amazing staff make difficult situations like this so much easier and I’m lucky to have such a great team here on the yard. It is not possible for them to ‘work from home’ and all the horses will be looked after to the same high standard that they always are.

Stay safe everyone and look after each other.

The picture is of Hayley and unraced Betsy having her first proper jump under saddle – natural.
